Liberal Leader Brian Gallant fielding questions about Carleton Victoria Liberal candidate Andy Harvey who’s been charged with defrauding the province out of more than $5,000 along with two members of his family, including his father who’s a former M-L-A.
Gallant praised Harvey in the past for his business and community experience but now says he’s as surprised as anyone over the criminal charges.
Gallant says Harvey has been suspended until he’s cleared of all charges and if he’s convicted, the ban would be permanent.
Harvey is the owner of Harvey Farm & Forest Ltd, a councillor for the village of Bristo, and serves of the board of directors of the Carleton Co-operative Ltd.
