We are just days away from an event that will have thousands at the Greater Moncton International Airport looking skywards.
Canada’s only military parachute team is one of many that will perform at the 2014 Atlantic Canada International Air Show in Dieppe.
Team Captain for the Skyhawks, Vic Mover, says the team this year is made up of 12 demonstration jumpers and a ground support crew. “The Skyhawks are into their 43rd season this year. They have been around since 1971, demonstrating what members of the Canadian Armed Forces have to offer.”
The team is based in Trenton, Ontario.
One of their signature formations, which spectators will see at the beginning of the show this year, is the Canadian “T”. Three jumpers form a “T” shape in the sky, and then lower a 400 square foot Canada flag.
The Atlantic Canada International Air Show is being held this Saturday and Sunday in Dieppe. Tickets start at $25 dollars and are available online or at the gate.
