Shediac man dies in hospital after hit-and-run

A Shediac man has died 14 days after a hit-and-run on Route 2 near Sackville.

RCMP say the crash happened on August 6 at around 4:50 am and involved a vehicle and a pedestrian.

The 51-year-old man was rushed to hospital but died of his injuries.

At the time of the collision, police say the man was wearing dark clothing, including a black hoodie and carrying two bags.

The investigation to identify the vehicle continues.

If you witnessed the hit-and-run collision on the morning of August 6, stopped at the scene, or were travelling westbound in the area at the time of the incident or have dash cam footage of the incident, you should contact the Sackville RCMP at 506-364-5023.
