Recognizing frontline workers in N.B. special care home week

New Brunswick is marking Special Care Home Week by highlighting the work done in special care homes across the province.

Social Development Minister Cindy Miles thanked operators and employees for their daily efforts supporting residents.

“The hard work and devotion you show to New Brunswickers in care cannot be overstated,” Miles said in a government release.

Seniors Minister Lyne Chantal Boudreau said special care homes are a crucial part of long‑term care in the province.

“You are the ones on the front lines making a real difference,” Boudreau said.

The ministers said more than 7,000 people are part of the special care homes program, which provides secure living environments for seniors and adults living with disabilities.

They said staff deliver the daily care residents rely on and play an essential role in maintaining quality long‑term support.

Miles and Boudreau encouraged New Brunswickers to recognize the commitment shown by special care home staff throughout the year.

Special Care Home Week continues until this Friday.
