N.B. increases wide variety of fees to better support delivery costs

Some government fees have increased as the province tries to better support the cost of delivering services.

The adjustments are across a variety of services, including liquor licensing, vehicle registration and the province’s 911 service fee.

Many of the increases are only a few dollars, but there are some significant jumps.

For example, the fee for a personalized plate has jumped from 175 to 250 dollars.

And a special inspection for an elevator has tripled, from 100 to 300 dollars.

The new fees have been in effect since August 1st.
