Riverview businesses networking through coffee and conversation

The Town of Riverview is bringing local business owners together.

They’re launching ‘Coffee Connect’, which will give them a chance to network and share ideas with other entrepreneurs this summer.

A different cafe will be hosting each session. It will give participants a chance to see more of what the Riverview business community has to offer.

“Running a small business can be isolating, especially when you’re focused on the day-to-day,” said Yat-Long Murphy, Community Engagement Worker, Business, who is coordinating the program. “Coffee Connect is about creating that informal space where business owners can walk in, grab a coffee, and realize they’re not doing this alone. Some of the best partnerships and ideas can come out of casual conversations like these.”

The initiative is part of the municipality’s broader push to support economic growth from the ground up.
