Fatal ATV crash on Esgenoôpetitj First Nation

A 28-year-old man has died following a crash involving an ATV and a vehicle in Northeast New Brunswick.

The Esgenoôpetitj First Nation man was killed in the collision early Saturday morning on Peter’s Road.

RCMP says they responded just before 1 am.

It’s believed the ATV driver failed to stop and collided with a vehicle.

He was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, but he passed away on Sunday.

The driver and passenger of the vehicle were not injured.

Members of the Neguac Fire Department, Ambulance New Brunswick, and an RCMP Collision Reconstructionist also attended the scene.

Both vehicles have been sent for a mechanical inspection.
