A large police presence on Norwood Avenue left some neighbours on edge.
RCMP Corporal Luc Picard says officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Thursday evening at around 6:15 pm, attempting to locate someone wanted by police.
Neighbours say numerous officers and RCMP cruisers surrounded the home, and were on scene for over four hours.
One neighbour who wished to remain anonymous told our newsroom that the ordeal left them terrified after what sounded like shots being fired and tear gas.

Picard says a man and a woman were arrested without incident and later released.
“As the matter remains under investigation, any further questions cannot be addressed at this time. There is no threat to the general public,” Picard stated in an email.
