NBSPCA seeks public assistance in Saint John dog abuse investigation

NBSPCA is looking for witnesses in connection with an investigation involving a dog being dragged by a vehicle in a Saint John neighbourhood.

Investigators are appealing for witnesses or anyone in the MacLaren Boulevard area with dashcam or video footage from the time of the incident.

According to a press release, on June 22 — at approximately 6:50 a.m. — Saint John Police arrived at the intersection of Itty Bitty Way and MacLaren Boulevard, in the city’s north end, in response to the report.

At least one person was reported to have interacted with the suspect in Samuel Davis Drive, the release said.

The NBSPCA first addressed the incident in a social media statement on Monday, after a video began circulating on Facebook earlier that day.
