There were numerous external partners involved as well, including Justice and Public Safety, the Moncton Fire Department (Fire Prevention Division), the New Brunswick SPCA, NB Power and the Department of Environment. Équité Association.

During the search, 26 stolen vehicles, 17 weapons, cash and around one kilogram of what is believed to be cocaine were seized.

A 55-year-old man is facing over 38 charges, including four counts of possession of property obtained by crime, 25 counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, four counts of weapons possession contrary to a court order and failure to surrender authorization and three counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

The man suffered minor injuries during his arrest, and the Serious Incident Response Team is investigating.

“This file will undoubtedly be one of the largest seizures of stolen property and one of the most complex investigations Codiac has ever undertaken,” said Staff Sergeant Nicolas Potvin from the Codiac Regional RCMP. “The search warrant alone took three days to complete.”
