Camilla Gallant

1941 ~ 2026

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Camilla Gallant, at the age of 84, on June 7, 2026, at The Moncton Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Camilla was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Gallant (December 4th, 2021) and the daughter of the late Camille Cormier and Juliette Cormier (née Goguen).

Camilla was a remarkable woman whose kindness, and positive spirit touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. A genuine and caring soul, she had a gift for making people feel welcome and valued. Her joyful spirit, infectious giggling laugh, and genuine interest in others made her a pleasure to be around and a treasured friend to many. Family was the center of her world, and anyone who knew her could see the tremendous love and pride she had for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures: fishing, knitting, puzzles, and taking long scenic drives with no particular destination at times. Camilla also had a well-known sweet tooth and never passed up an opportunity to indulge. Her zest for life, sense of humor, and ability to find joy in every day will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.

Camilla will be deeply missed by her loving children: Denise LeBlanc (Ron)Joanne Chevarie (the late Jean-Maurice)Daniel Gallant (Janice), and Marc Gallant (Tammy).

She is also survived by her brother, Ronald Cormier.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved grandchildren: Sylvie, Natalie, Rémi, Ronald Jr., Nicolas, Sofie, Pierre, Philippe, Paryse, François, Michel, Chloé, Dominique, Jeremy, and Meghan, as well as her 16 great-grandchildren.

She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, in-laws, and many dear friends whose lives were enriched by her love, kindness, and friendship.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Intensive Care Unit at The Moncton Hospital for the exceptional care, compassion, and support shown to Camilla and her family during her final days.

A funeral mass will be held at Sainte-Therese-de-l’Enfant-Jesus Church in Dieppe, New Brunswick, on Thursday June 11th at 11:00 a.m.

In keeping with Camilla’s wishes, there will be no visitations. The family kindly requests that flowers not be sent. Instead, the most meaningful way to honour her memory is to cherish your loved ones, and carry forward the warmth, compassion, and love Camilla so generously shared with others.

Though she is no longer with us, Camilla’s love, laughter, and gentle spirit will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

The family invites you to sign the condolence book at the following address: www.funerairepassagefuneral.ca.

Arrangements are under the professional care of the Funeral Cooperative and Passage Cremation Centre, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, E1A 1G1, 506-857-1901.
