Another Tuesday another tour! And this week I went to TransAqua to learn all about their compost facility.
Did you know that 82% of their compost goes to the community every year? For Free!!! Yes, you heard right you can get your compost for free at TransAqua located at 399 Delong Drive!
As well as they provide free compost facility tours every second Wednesday of the month (except July 1st).
I learnt so much on this tour from how they receive and maintain 3 deliveries of biofuels a day and how they test that the compost is ready to be put out for people to pick up.
They also have a wood drop off where they allow the public to drop off their wood chippings for them to then use it to create the compost.
But you can learn all of that for yourself at their Compost Open House that will be taking play June 20th at their 222 Delong Drive location. There will be food, free tours, face paint AND even music provided by yours truly (91.9 The Bend).
This is definitely a facility you should go check out as there is so much time and process that goes into the compost they provide for our community.
