Host community wanted for N.B. Day ceremony

The province is now taking applications for the upcoming New Brunswick Day ceremonies on August 3.

Tourism, Heritage and Culture Minister Isabelle Thériault says they’re allowing a chosen community to host New Brunswick Day for 2026, giving them the chance to showcase their culture, heritage and spirit.

The deadline to apply is June 11.

They’ll receive a grant of up to $30,000 to be used for planning and implementation of the events.

“New Brunswick’s strength lies in its many vibrant communities and people whose stories help shape our unique identity,” Thériault adds.

Applicant communities must follow certain criteria to be eligible.

The chosen community will be revealed at the end of June.
