Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, NB – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Roger Cormier, aged 75, which occurred on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, NB.

Born in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, NB, on March 8, 1951, he was the son of the late Lionel Cormier and the late Délia Cormier (née Bastarache).

He is survived by his children: Michel Cormier (Stacey) of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, Rachelle Richard (Denis) of Irishtown and Marcel Cormier (Danika) of Saint-Joseph; as well as the mother of his children, Claudette Cormier. He also leaves behind his five grandchildren: Gavin, Myra, Ryder, Malek, and Myriam.

Roger is also survived by his three brothers: Gérald (late Alberta) of Bouctouche, Paul (Claudette) of Saint-Joseph, and Fernand (Norma) of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Auréa Fearon (late Oswald).

Visitation will be held at Notre-Dame du Mont-Carmel Roman Catholic Church in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent on Monday, May 25, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and again on Tuesday May 26, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., followed by the funeral Mass at 7:00 p.m. in the church.

Donations in Roger’s memory may be made to the New Brunswick Lung Association.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center in Moncton.
