A man convicted of the deaths of a Dieppe couple has been sentenced to life in prison.
Janson Baker appeared before the Court of King’s Bench in Moncton for sentencing on Thursday.
His sentences will be served concurrently, and he won’t be eligible for parole for 25 years.
Baker was found guilty in March of two counts of first-degree murder in the 2019 deaths of 78-year-old Bernard Saulnier and his 74-year-old wife Rose-Marie.
They were found shot in their Amirault Street home in September 2019.
Baker will also be prohibited from possessing firearms and weapons for life and from communicating with any individuals who provided victim impact statements.
