Honouring victims on Red Dress Day

The many missing and murdered indigenous women, girls and 2-spirited people are being honoured today.

Red Dress Day is observed annually on May 5.

Canadians will stand on Tuesday with the families who are still searching for answers.

According to Amnesty International Canada, 6 in 10 Indigenous women in this country have experienced physical or sexual assault in their lifetime.

Events have been organized across the country. In Moncton, from 12 pm to 2 am today, a Memorial Walk will be held starting at the Riverfront Park Gazebo in Riverview.
