Wind and rain on the way Sunday

Enjoy the warmer weather on Saturday while it lasts.

Eastern parts of the province and much of the southern coast will get a load of rain and wind on Sunday.

Environment Canada has special weather statements up. They say rainfall totals could reach between 25 and 40 mm with higher amounts possible.

Wind gusts could reach up to 70 km/h.

They say the storm will start Sunday and last into the night as the weather system tracks over Nova Scotia. Some wet snow may mix in over some elevations, but they say it will not build up on the ground.

Make sure your storm drains are cleared of any leaves or other debris, they say, and make sure your outdoor furniture is secure so it does not get thrown around in the wind.
