Rainy days on the way for parts of New Brunswick

Heavy rain at times is expected across parts of central and southwestern New Brunswick.

Some areas will see rainfall totals of 50 to 60 mm, with higher amounts possible with thundershowers.

Fredericton and Southern York County, N.B. (015100)
Oromocto and Sunbury County, N.B. (015200)
Grand Lake and Queens County, N.B. (015300)
Sussex – Kennebecasis Valley and Kings County, N.B. (015400)
St. Stephen and Northern Charlotte County, N.B. (015600)

Conditions are supposed to intensify Thursday evening and continue through Friday afternoon.

If you’re out and about, expect reduced visibility and water pooling on roads, with rainfall rates up to 10 mm per hour in some areas. Environment Canada wants drivers to consider adjusting travel plans to avoid the dangerous conditions.
