ANBL corporate stores to close in Hampton and Beresford

Changes are coming to the NB Liquor stores in Hampton and Beresford.

NB Liquor Spokesperson Florence Gouton says when the leases expire, the stores will be converted from corporate to agency stores.

In Hampton, the conversion will be done at the end of October, while the Beresford store will follow at the end of November.

“This decision was based on several considerations, including sales data, the status of the lease and ongoing costs to operate these locations, all of which demonstrate that a convenience agent partner is the right decision for these communities at this time,” Gouton added in an email.

A statement from Gouton added that this will impact 17 employees between the two locations. They will retain their positions but be reassigned to other stores.
