Cocaine, meth seized from Summerside, PEI home

Police have seized a large amount of drugs from a Summerside, PEI home.

On April 14, the Prince District Joint Forces Operation (JFO), along with the Summerside Police Services, Provincial Joint Enforcement Team (JET), RCMP General Investigations Section and RCMP Police Dog Services, searched a residence as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.

During the search, officers found almost 85 grams of cocaine, around 57 grams of crystal meth, a taser, bear spray and Canadian cash.

A 27-year-old man was arrested and is facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

He will appear in court on June 24.
