The interrupter clause is rearing its head in New Brunswick once again.
An industry source is reporting the maximum price of regular gas will jump 10 cents a litre Friday night.
This would wipe out the decreases over the last two weeks and push the maximum price back to nearly $1.91.
The change also comes just days before the federal government’s temporary suspension of the fuel excise tax comes into effect.

Prime Minister Mark Carney made that announcement April 14, the day after securing a majority in the House of Commons.
At the time, New Brunswick Premier Susan Holt called the decision good news for the province.
“I think it is a good thing that the Carney government also recognizes that New Brunswickers and Canadians are challenged with the cost of living and has taken a similar step to the ones that we have put in place,” Holt said.

No change is expected in the price of diesel, leaving the maximum at $2.25 per litre.
