June 14, 1959  –  April 13, 2026

It is with much sadness that Ryan and Kitura announce the death of their mom, Eileen Ruth Lewis (nee Fillmore). She passed away on Monday, April 13th after her battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Eileen was 66 years old.

She was a dedicated member of the Lutes Mountain Church of the Nazarene. She loved God and her church. She served in many capacities over her life time in her home church, community and the Canada Atlantic District. One of her greatest passions was working with children both on the church level and as an Education Assistant for close to 40 years at Forest Glen School in Moncton. She was planning to retire from the Anglophone East School District this June.

Eileen will be missed greatly by her children, Ryan Lewis of Burnaby, BC and Kitura Lewis of Moncton, NB. She is survived by her brothers Larry Fillmore (Kathy) of Moncton, Steven Fillmore (Judy) of Calgary, Bruce Fillmore (June) of Jemseg, as well as her sister Judy Duplessis of Riverview, NB. She will also be missed by her many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, if you so desire, donations to Lutes Mountain Church of the Nazarene, Big Lake Camp, NS or the Forest Glen breakfast club would be very much appreciated. Another option is to spread kindness wherever you go and that option costs you nothing !

A Celebration of Eileen’s Life will be held on Saturday, April 25th, 2026 at 11:00 am at the Lutes Mountain Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Dale Thistle officiating. There will be a reception to follow.
