It’s St. Patrick’s Day, do you have your green on?
How did one color become so associated with a culturally festive day?
In the late 1700s, an underground nationalist group that sought to overthrow English rule used green as a symbol of their cause.
It’s said that wearing green will also make you invisible to leprechauns who will pinch anyone they can see.
But did you know, you shouldn’t wear orange on St. Patrick’s Day? Apparently orange represents Protestant heritage and can be seen as provocative in Ireland.
Long and short, stick to wearing green today for luck and to avoid getting pinched!
