NEW: Windy and rainy start to week for N.B.

It’s going to be a wet couple of days in New Brunswick.

A special weather statement has now been added for Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick.

It also continues along areas including Saint John and County, St. Stephen and Northern Charlotte County, Grand Manan, Sussex, Kennebecasis Valley and Kings County.

Environment Canada is calling for 30 to 60 millimetres of rain, with high winds between 60 and 80 kilometres per hour.

Very mild temperatures will cause rapid snowmelt, and that could result in localized flooding.

The southern parts of the province are also under yellow alert rainfall warnings.

Rain is expected to begin falling heavily on Monday afternoon, with a break expected overnight or early Tuesday morning.
