So, we made it through another time change, “springing forward” 1 hour to Daylight Savings Time. You prepared, you took naps, went to bed early but you’re still feeling tired like your body is really missing that extra hour of sleep! How long does it take for us to adjust to Daylight Savings time? It can take up to 7 days for your body to adjust to the start and end of daylight saving time? A few quick tips for an easier transition: ⏰ Keep a regular sleep schedule. ⏰ Take advantage of the sun and get outside for a 30 -minute walk. ⏰ Stick to regular routines and meal times.
Will we eventually see an end to time changes? Possibly.. is the best answer! British Columbia announced the move to permanent daylight savings time this year. They will Saskatchewan and Yukan who are now on permanent Central Standard Time. When will the rest of Canada make the switch, that’s the million dollar question. I for one am all for it, but for now I’ll follow the tips above for an easier transition period.
