June Georgina Belliveau

1950 – 2026

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of June Belliveau of Moncton, NB. She passed away peacefully at The Moncton City Hospital, surrounded by family, on Monday, February 23, 2026 at the age of 75. Born in Arichat, NS she was a daughter of the late Ivan and Christina Shaw.

For 12 years, June was a dedicated service member of The Cornerstone Board, offering her time, compassion, and unwavering commitment to her community. Often, you could find June sitting outside, quietly waiting for the soft flap of a bird’s wings to reach her ears. She loved the simple beauty of flowers, always pausing to admire their colors and delicate petals wherever she saw them. June cherished returning to her childhood town of Arichat, Nova Scotia, where she especially treasured time spent with her sister Mary, reminiscing and sharing laughter.

Known as a second mom to many, June had a nurturing heart that extended far beyond her own family. She dedicated many years of service to Tim Hortons and Ayer Convenience, retiring from Ayer after becoming a well-known and comforting presence within the community, leaving a warm long lasting impression. June found comfort in the simple routines of life — she could never sleep without her nighties, and she was fondly known for enjoying ice cubes as her favorite little snack. These small joys reflected her gentle spirit and the warmth she carried throughout her life.

June is survived by her daughters, Heather Dempsey of Riverview, Hayley Belliveau of Moncton; son, John-Allan Belliveau (Natalie) of Moncton; sister, Mary Shaw of Arichat, NS; grandchildren, Kyle, Cody, Colton, Madison, Arianna and Harmony.

In addition to her parents, June was predeceased by her husband, John Charles Belliveau in 2011; sisters Iris, Helen, Ruth and Kathleen.

In keeping with June’s wishes cremation has taken place at Fergusons Crematorium. A celebration of life will take place at a later time.

Donations in memory of June can be made to the Josh Project, Salisbury, NB.
