Riverview Mayor to reoffer in upcoming municipal election

Just one of three mayors in Greater Moncton will reoffer in the May municipal election.

Andrew Leblanc of Riverview is the latest to announce his intentions.

Leblanc was first elected in 2016 as a Councillor at Large, but he is wrapping up his first term as Mayor after running and being elected to the role in 2021.

He announced on social media on Tuesday morning that he will run for re-election on May 11.

Moncton’s Deputy Mayor Paulette Theriault has stated she will not be running again.

Dieppe’s Mayor Yvon Lapierre has also said he will not seek re-election.
