Drugs and weapons seized in trafficking investigation

A 29-year-old Moncton woman has been arrested in connection with drug trafficking.

New Brunswick RCMP Provincial Crime Reduction Unit began an investigation on August 5.

On August 22, a Joyce Avenue home was searched and police seized items including quantities of what is believed to be cocaine, benzodiazepine pills, methamphetamine, hydromorphone, cannabis, hash, a taser, a loaded sawed off shot gun, various ammunition, drug trafficking paraphernalia, cell phones and money.

The woman was released with a November court date.
