RCMP seek helmetless rider who fled traffic stop in Moncton

A man riding a motorcycle without a helmet sped off from police in Moncton, and the RCMP are now asking for help identifying him.

Codiac Regional RCMP say the incident happened around 7:40 p.m. on Aug. 21, when officers spotted the rider on St. George Street.

As police activated their emergency equipment and approached the vehicle, the man fled. Officers did not pursue the motorcycle.

The suspect is described as of average build, with short dark hair. He was wearing aviator-style sunglasses, a black jacket and black pants.

The motorcycle is a blue Hyosung Aquila GV650 cruiser-style and did not have a licence plate.

Anyone with information that could help identify the individual is asked to contact Codiac Regional RCMP at 506-857-2400.
