Prison time for man and woman in connection with death in Northern N.B.

Two people have been sentenced to prison time for the death of a New Brunswick man.

Forty-four-year-old Benjamin Cote of Rivière-du-Loup, Quebec, appeared in Edmundston court this week and was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for over 14 years.

Forty-one-year-old Angie Leclerc of St-Antonin, Quebec, will spend 10 years behind bars.

They were originally charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of Rino St. Pierre.

He was found dead on Rue Industrielle in Rivière-Verte, New Brunswick, in August 2021.
