Several temperature records have been set across New Brunswick amid this week’s heat wave.
Bathurst reached a high of 34.3°C on Wednesday, breaking the old record of 32.5°C set in 1998.
The high of 33.7°C in Moncton broke a 57-year-old record of 32.8°C, according to Environment Canada.
Charlo recorded a temperature of 32.4°C, with the old record of 31°C in place since 1991.
The high of 28.2°C in Grand Manan broke the old record of 28.1°C set six years ago in 2019.
A heat warning remains in effect for one more day across much of the province.
Highs in the low 30s will feel closer to 40 on Thursday afternoon, with overnight lows of 16°C to 20°C.
Temperatures will be cooler along the Fundy coast, where the heat warning has come to an end.
Environment Canada said conditions are expected to improve on Friday.
