We are just hours away from officially putting spring in the rearview mirror.
Summer officially begins at 10:42 p.m. ET Friday in the northern hemisphere.
It is the one day every year when we have the longest amount of daylight.
Environment Canada is predicting a hotter-than-normal summer across much of the country.
Precipitation amounts are expected to be near or below normal for most of us.
