Moncton hosts Jehovah’s Witnesses convention

Around 3,500 people are gathering in Moncton this weekend for an annual convention.

The Jehovah’s Witnesses are meeting at the Avenir Centre from Friday through Sunday.

Regional spokesperson Scott Snyder says this event is a highlight for thousands of Maritimers.

“We look forward with much anticipation to once again working with city officials to bring this exciting program to Moncton,” Scott Snyder said in a statement.

“We were able to welcome many visitors in 2024 and look forward to welcoming them again in 2025.”

More than 6,000 three-day conventions were organized by Jehovah’s Witnesses worldwide last year.
