Rental increases force cancellation of Shediac Flea Market

An annual event that draws thousands to the Shediac region has been cancelled for 2025.

Organizers of the Shediac International Flea Market say an increase in rental costs at the arena where the sale is held is to blame.

Emery Bourque says vendors are notified in advance of the rates, so adjusting them for this year isn’t an option.

Bourque adds they’ve reached out to the town to confirm next year’s dates and costs in the hopes of continuing the Flea Market.

Vendors who’ve already paid for 2025 will receive a full reimbursement.
