It’s Moncton vs. Rimouski, Game 1, on Saturday night

It’s expected to be a packed house this weekend in Moncton for the first two games of the Gilles Courteau Trophy.

The Wildcats are headed to the QMJHL League Finals for the first time in 15 years.

The Moncton Wildcats have won 12 of their 13 postseason games, and fans are hoping they can keep up the momentum against Rimouski. That’s who they’ll play in the Championship series..

All games will be televised on networks including TSN.

The Best of Seven Championship starts Saturday night. Puck drop at the Avenir Centre at 5 o’clock.

The Wildcats automatically qualify for the Memorial Cup as Q League representatives, with the Oceanic as the hosts.

The Cup will be played May 22 – June 1.
