Eight recruits training with Moncton Fire

The Moncton Fire Department has added eight probationary firefighters to its team.

They began a ten-week recruitment training program this week.

Training includes driver and pump operations, vehicle extrication, high-rise tactics, HAZMAT and technical rescue.

Four of these firefighters will fill department vacancies created due to retirement, and the other four will help bring the daily number of firefighters on duty from 21 to 22.
