Criminality not suspected in Bathurst deaths: police

New details have been released after the bodies of two people were found in a Bathurst home.

Officers were dispatched to Frenette Street for a possible sudden death on Saturday evening.

The Bathurst Police Force said a 50-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman were found dead inside.

“At this time, police do not believe criminality to be a factor in the deaths,” police said in an update.

A member of the New Brunswick coroner’s office is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
