Marianne Limpert Team Championship returns to Saint John

Around 350 competitive New Brunswick swimmers will seek success in Saint John.

The Marianne Limpert Team Championship (MLTC) is being held at the Canada Games Aquatic Centre from Friday through Sunday.

The Saint John Fundy TIDE Swim Team is hosting the meet.

The annual meet, named after Olympic gold medalist Marianne Limpert, is the biggest meet of the year in New Brunswick so far.

MLTC is the New Brunswick team championship, where the province’s top swimmers will dive in and race for personal bests, but will also compete for the championship banner on behalf of their teams.

The long-course event takes full advantage of the Canada Games Aquatic Centre.

Saint John is home to the only 50-metre pool in the province.
