YQM celebrates record-breaking year

A busy year overall for the Greater Moncton Roméo LeBlanc International Airport.

A record-breaking number of passengers walked through its doors in 2024 at 661,629. That’s up over 10 per cent from 2023.

The holiday season alone was a great success with 40,965 passengers.

YQM says flights to sunny destinations returned in mid-December with seasonal flights out of Greater Moncton to the Dominican Republic and Mexico.

Next month, Sunwing and Air Transat will offer 11 weekly chartered trips to destinations including Cuba, Orlando and Jamaica.

YQM is reporting it is now operating at 98 per cent of pre-pandemic levels.
