A man and a woman were arrested following a police operation on Mountain Road in Moncton.
RCMP carried out the operation near the intersection of Glen Eagles Drive last Friday.
The police said the arrests are in connection with an ongoing investigation.
The RCMP detained a 45-year-old man from Haute-Aboujagane and a 41-year-old woman from Moncton.
The man remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Moncton Provincial Court on Wednesday. The woman was released and will appear in court at a later date.
Sgt. Ricky LeBlond of the Caledonia Region RCMP told the public that there was no risk during the arrest and that public safety is their top priority.
The operation involved multiple RCMP units who helped with making these arrests.
