Lots of rain and wind for southeastern N.B.

Umbrellas and tall rubber boots will be needed later today.

Moncton and southeastern New Brunswick are under a special weather statement, with more than 25 millimetres of rain possible by Thursday morning.

Environment Canada says this is due to a low-pressure system tracking through the region Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

Temperatures are expected to climb to 9°C on Wednesday and up to 12°C on Thursday.

We could see high winds as well, up to 80 kilometres per hour.

Bay Ferries has cancelled some Wednesday and Thursday sailings between Saint John, N.B., and Digby, N.S., due to the weather.

The Confederation Bridge advises that high winds Wednesday night into Thursday morning may result in traffic restrictions.
