It isn’t every day that a large sign falls and closes a highway.
Route 1 near the Albany Y, close to Borden-Carleton, P.E.I., was blocked Tuesday night after the sign above the roadway that directs traffic to Summerside and Charlottetown plummeted down and covered the whole roadway.
The Trans-Canada Highway was closed in both directions for several hours.
Luckily no one was hurt.
