Expect your N.B. voter information cards to arrive soon

More than 315, 000 voter information cards have been mailed out to New Brunswickers before the October 21 provincial election.

Elections NB encourages voters to bring the cards with them when they cast their ballots.

“Using scanners, polling staff use the unique barcode printed on each card to quickly find the voter’s name on the list stored on the poll pads set up at the polling stations,” said chief electoral officer Kim Poffenroth.

This makes it easier for polling staff who will use the unique bar code to find the voter’s name on the list.

Eligible voters who do not receive their information card will be directed to a special team at the polling station who will ensure they are on the list or get them added.

Voters can also find voting information for their area online by visiting the Elections New Brunswick website. Using the Where Do I Vote? link, a voter can find the location of local polling stations, the list of candidates running in the electoral district and contact information for the local returning office.
