Charles Léger announces candidacy for Moncton mayor

A Moncton city councillor is entering the race to become the next mayor.

Charles Léger has been a city councillor for Ward 2 since 2012 and is currently serving his third term.

“I’m up for the challenge and would welcome the opportunity to lead the city through its’ next phase of growth thereby contributing to an excellent quality of life for Monctonians,” Léger says.

He believes the number one issue in this campaign will be public safety and security.

The councillor brings 30 years of private sector business experience to the table.

New Brunswick will hold municipal elections on May 11.
