Water main break repaired, boil water order continues

Work wrapped up at around midnight to repair a water main break in Moncton.

Residents under a boil water order will still have to wait until at least Friday before the order is lifted.

The advisory impacts areas bordered by Wheeler Boulevard in the north and west, Millennium Boulevard in the south, and West Lane in the east, as well as Westbrook Circle.

The City of Moncton says two consecutive days of water sampling will need to be done before the Department of Health can lift the order.

All water destined for drinking, preparing infant formulas and juices, washing fruits and vegetables, cooking, brushing teeth and dental hygiene is held at a rolling boil for 1 minute. Further instructions related to boil water orders can be found online here: Boil water advisory issued | City of Moncton

The City will issue an advisory when the boil water order has been rescinded.
