City of Moncton ratifies deal with CUPE workers

A new agreement for 200 City of Moncton workers.

City council ratified a collective agreement Monday with CUPE Local 51.

It includes a 13.5 percent wage increase over four years.

The workers include truck drivers, labourers, mechanics, recreation operations staff, animal care, and rink attendants.

Deputy Mayor Paulette Theriault says the employees provide incredible value, and the agreement respects both parties.

The agreement expired last year.
