RCMP seek tips after Port Elgin business theft

Police are asking for the public’s help after two masked suspects drove a truck through the doors of a Port Elgin business and stole alcohol and cigarettes.

The RCMP said the break, enter, and theft happened on Monday between 2:30 a.m. and 3 a.m. at a business on Shemogue Road.

The suspects forced entry by ramming the truck into the main doors before taking the items, according to investigators.

Mounties are asking anyone with information that could assist the investigation to contact the Sackville detachment at 506‑533‑5151.

Tips can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers by calling 1‑800‑222‑8477, using the secure P3 Mobile App, or through Secure Web Tips.
