Planned power outage to affect Riverview Thursday

NB Power says a planned outage will take place in Riverview on Thursday morning.

Electricity will be off from 6 a.m. until around noon while crews connect service for new housing construction.

The Town of Riverview said several facilities in the outage zone will be closed during the work.

The list includes the Byron Dobson Memorial Arena, Riverview Indoor Skatepark and Youth Centre, Riverview Community Hall, Reaching for Rainbows Child Development Centre, Fitness Studio and Parks Office, and the Codiac Woodworkers Guild.

NB Power said customers in the affected area will be contacted directly with information about the outage.

The town noted the work is scheduled to end around noon, but could extend longer than expected.

Residents will receive timely updates if timelines change.

Please check the Closures and Cancellations page for the most current information.
