Fire Prevention Week runs from October 5 to 11.

The theme of this year’s week is focused on lithium-ion batteries and the importance of buying, charging and recycling these batteries safely.

Departments in Greater Moncton all have an open house planned.

Moncton Fire will open its doors at the Hildegard fire station on Saturday, October 4, from 10 am until 2 pm.

Riverview Fire and Rescue has its open house planned on Saturday as well, from 8 am until 2 pm at their station on Pinewood Road

Both will feature demonstrations and displays, with fire trucks and rescue vehicles.

The City of Dieppe will hold its open house on October 11 from 10 am until 2 pm at the Gauvin Road Fire Station.
