Man charged after firearm incident

The RCMP has laid charges following a firearm-related incident in Saint-Antoine.

On October 18th just before 11:30 a.m, police responded to a complaint of shots directed at two individuals on Haut Saint Damien Road.

One person suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

The suspect fled but was arrested the next day at a home in the area.

A 33-year-old man appeared in Moncton Provincial Court on Thursday and was charged with firearms and weapons offences.

He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to reappear in court on November 6th.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
